How sleep and symptoms interact
Short or irregular sleep can worsen mood, anxiety, irritability and concentration, and it can look a lot like ADHD. Depression, anxiety and some medications can in turn disrupt sleep. Untangling which came first helps decide where treatment should start.
What care can address
- Difficulty falling or staying asleep
- Delayed sleep schedules and irregular routines, including shift work and late-night screen use
- Sleep problems linked to mood, anxiety or medication
- Practical routines that support steadier sleep
Limits
The practice does not perform sleep studies or treat conditions such as sleep apnea directly. When a medical sleep disorder may be present, Dr. Khan will recommend evaluation by your primary care clinician or a sleep specialist.
