Who this is for
Adults who have noticed that gaming, scrolling or other screen use has started to crowd out sleep, work, school, relationships or health, and who find it hard to change on their own.
There is no judgment here about games or technology. Many people game for connection, rest and enjoyment. Care focuses on function and on what you want to be different.
Looking at the whole picture
Heavy screen use often travels with other things: shifted sleep schedules, attention difficulties, low mood, anxiety, loneliness or burnout. Sometimes gaming is a way of coping with those. The evaluation looks at all of it, so treatment addresses what is driving the pattern as well as the pattern itself.
What care can include
- A careful evaluation of mood, anxiety, attention and sleep
- Treatment of co-occurring conditions, including medication when appropriate
- Practical strategies for sleep timing and routine
- Referral to therapy when it would help
